New Project Announcement: Belfast Transport Hub

 In Projects

Williaam Cox Ltd is delighted to announce we have been appointed by Farrans Construction and JV partner SACYR to design manufacture and install the full external glazed façade for the new Belfast Transport Hub / Grand Central Station for Translink.

When completed, this will be Ireland’s largest integrated transport facility and will have 26 bus stands, 8 railway platforms, enhanced walking and cycling connectivity, and greater comfort and accessibility, encouraging greener, active travel for a healthier, smarter city.

Brendan Barrett Williaam Cox Head of Rooflights and Façades said:

We are delighted to be selected by Farrans Construction and JV partner SACYR to deliver the external façade package for the Grand Central Station project. This is a significant milestone in public transport for the city and will be a cornerstone of the Weavers Cross regeneration in the heart of Belfast.

For this project, we are installing almost 6500m2 of Schüco FW80+ XR enhanced curtain walling and using Guardian SNX 60 Glass to deliver a top of the range façade.

Installation has commenced on site and we look forward to sharing updates as the project progresses.
