APET/PETG

Product Overview

APET

Amorphous Polyethylene Terephthalate sheets, better known as APET, are best suited to flat applications. They are suitable for use in the food industry and have excellent impact resistance even at sub-zero temperatures. They have very high chemical resistance properties and are suitable for printing with UV curing inks.
There is no difference between PET and APET and virtually all the clear plastic you come in contact with is APET (except microwave food trays).

Our APET sheets are suitable for:

  • poster coverings
  • display units
  • cold food storage elements
  • glazing panels

PETG

PETG, Polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified sheets feature enhanced thermoforming capabilities against APET as the introduction of CHDM (cyclohexanedimethanol) obstructs crystallization when formed. They are well suited to line-bending and vacuum forming.
Our sheet range can be utilised in the signage, shopfitting, printing and point-of-sale industries.
We stock clear and opal sheets in thicknesses between 1mm and 10mm.
